00 HOW WE WORK
We are frequently asked by our clients, "How do we get started, or what do we do next?" This section is dedicated to helping illustrate our process. While we strive to work with your preferences in mind, we find that most projects follow this basic structure. Click through the 6 steps or select print to view a hard copy.
1 INTERVIEW PROCESS
Our initial meeting consists of note taking, rough sketching, and fact finding. Our goal is to learn your appliance needs, wood species, door style, and color pallet preferences. The information we gather will be used to create the initial presentation.
2 DESIGN PRESENTATION
We meet again to review floor plans, elevations, and an artistic rendering of the space. If needed, we will do more sketching in the meeting until you like an elevation. If the direction is agreed upon, a budget is presented with room to allow for product selection. A design retainer fee is collected based upon the overall budget.
3 FORMAL PRESENTATION
During this meeting we review formal studies (dimensions and perspectives) of your space. The goal is to get you to see space as we see it. We will also define the needed functionality and location of your appliances. If it is needed, we will do more sketches and note taking in the meeting. This process will continue until we get your final approval and sign-off on the drawings. Once we have your approval, the drawings are built into AutoCAD and sent to the manufacturer.
4 FINAL PRESENTATION
In this presentation the AutoCAD drawings are reviewed. Your selections for the color pallet, counters, lighting, hardware, faucets, all accessories are confirmed. We'll review final pricing and in conclusion to this meeting, the cabinets are ordered.
5 DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION
The cabinets are delivered and put in place. At this point, it is not uncommon to be overwhelmed by the size of the cabinets and to think you've made the wrong selections. Not to worry, installation of the countertops, hardware and final carpentry will complete the kitchen to your expectations.
